Welcome Lyndsay Plata
Lyndsay Plata, B.A. Christian Counseling, has joined the Katy Cares therapeutic team to provide Christian Counseling to clients and participants in Katy Cares programs.
Lyndsay brings a powerful combination of professional excellence, entrepreneurial leadership, and a deep heart for healing and restoration.
Lyndsay’s approach combines clinical insight, faith-based truth, and compassionate care to help clients navigate personal, emotional, and spiritual challenges with confidence and hope.
She is a board-certified Christian Counselor, a Certified SYMBIS Facilitator, and a Certified Life and Youth Mental Health Coach.

Objectives
Clinical and Counseling Delivery
- Provide individual and group Christian counseling sessions led by a Board-Certified Christian Counselor, fully integrated within the trauma-informed Program model.
- Conduct intake, assessment, and individualized treatment planning incorporating both clinical and spiritual well-being indicators.
- Ensure ethical, confidential, culturally responsive, and trauma-sensitive care.
Curriculum and Program Development
- Develop and deliver a structured Christian counseling curriculum addressing trauma, identity, forgiveness, grief, purpose, and Parenting through a Biblical lens.
- Create and maintain a resource library of faith-based tools, including devotional guides, Scripture-based coping strategies, and recommended materials.
Spiritual Integration
- Incorporate Biblical principles, prayer, and faith-based coping strategies into the healing process.
- Support participants in addressing spiritual trauma, forgiveness, and reconciliation where appropriate.
Parenting and Family Strengthening
- Integrate counseling insights into Parenting education and coaching
- Equip parents with tools to foster healthy relationships, emotional regulation, and consistent, nurturing care.
Collaboration and Capacity Building
- Establish coordinated referral pathways across the Katy Cares therapeutic team to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary care.
- Train and equip staff in foundational principles of faith-integrated, trauma-informed practice.
- Partner with local churches and faith communities to extend support beyond Program participation.

- Restore voice, choice, and agency by engaging participants as active partners in their healing journey.
- Build resilience through practical life skills, spiritual disciplines, and evidence-based coping strategies.
