The Katy Cares Impact Report

In 2025, Katy Cares expanded, served more, and witnessed many lives transformed.

Across Fort Bend and neighboring counties, we walked alongside single-parent families navigating the most difficult seasons of their lives—and we watched them discover something they feared they had lost: hope.

Through our suite of certified, evidence-based, Trauma-Informed Personal Development and Parenting Programs, we addressed the whole person—body, mind, and soul. Our Programs are therapeutic in design, relational in delivery, and proven in outcome, combining elements of coaching, counseling, and mentoring to create lasting change rather than temporary relief.

Alongside our programs, we provided families with the tangible support that makes stability possible—groceries, gift cards, clothing, furniture, school supplies, access to legal aid, affordable healthcare, and connections to the broader network of community resources and essential services that no family should have to navigate alone.

None of this happens without people who care.

The dedication of our staff, board members, volunteers, partners, donors, and local churches continues to make Katy Cares a trusted and transformative presence in our community — and a place where the most vulnerable among us are met with dignity, compassion, and the unwavering belief that a brighter future is within reach.

What Single Parents Are Saying

I came into this Program not really knowing how to get through a day without feeling like I was losing. Now I actually understand my kids—what they’re feeling, why they act the way they do. That understanding changed everything about how I parent.”
Before Ready, Set, Go!, I disciplined the way I was taught. Nobody ever questioned it. This Program did—and it showed me there’s a better way. One rooted in my values, not just what I grew up with. I wish someone had shown me this years ago.”
I used to lay down the rules and enforce them. This Program taught me to stop and ask why—why my kids are acting out, why I’m responding the way I am. That conversation changed the whole dynamic in my house.”
I didn’t come here expecting to change that much. But I did. I talk to my kids differently now. I listen differently. When I put into practice what I learned here, I see it—the shift is real. I’ve recommended this Program to every single mother I know, to my friends, and yes, even to my ex-husband.”
