Generous Donation to Katy Cares from Enstor

The people and clients of Katy Cares are grateful to announce that Enstor has generously donated $10,000 to Katy Cares—for the second year in a row. This contribution will directly enable us to reach more single-parent families with trauma-informed counseling, mentoring, coaching, and essential support services. Eddie Bennett, Katy operations manager, recently presented this remarkable gift to our president, Dr. Dawid J. Pieterse. Brittany Francis Elected to the Katy Cares Board of Directors

Brittany Francis was elected unanimously to serve on the Board of Directors for Katy Cares, Inc. She will work directly with the president on stakeholder relations, fundraising, and event management. Her passion, energy, and networks are already making a huge difference for the mission of Katy Cares. Brittany and her husband, Rick Francis, have four children who attend a local homeschool program. Brittany is president of Kintsukuroi Ministries International, a global women’s ministry. The motivation of this ministry is to wrap its arms around the vulnerable and the broken everywhere, connect them to local ministries and churches, and demonstrate that they are beautiful, priceless, and precious in the sight of God. Led by a multidisciplinary team of business and professional leaders involved in the Katy community, Katy Cares was founded in 2016 as a solution-driven response to our community’s most vulnerable population – single parent families and children.

Our attention was drawn to the invisible and expanding social dilemma of single mothers and children who experienced trauma as a result of an event, series of events and/or set of circumstances that are physically, emotionally harmful, and life-threatening.

These events have lasting and negative effects on an individual’s and/or family’s functioning and mental, physical, social, and emotional or spiritual well-being. Katy Cares was founded to provide a structured solution to this dire need experienced by single parent families.
